Esperance was our first stop on the amazing South Eastern coast of Western Australia. We spent a few days looking around the town and Cape Le Grand National Park. This place was unbelievable, I've never seen so many picture perfect bays one after the other.
Hellfire Bay.
Lucky Bay will go down as my one regret from the trip, This place has the most jaw droppingly beautiful bay I have seen so far. It had fishy looking gutters, nice deepwater off the rocks and a fantastic beach.
A message the kids left for us to find.
The kids loved the retro playground at the caravan park in Esperance.....look familiar?
Wave Rock was one of the places on Jen's list after seeing a photo of her Mum & Dad standing on the rock just after they were married.
On the way to Hyden we spotted someone's interesting parking.
The Kyles Vs Wave Rock.
We decided to stay at a little town called Kalgarin, 17km's west of Hyden. Tressie's Van park and Museum is another one of our chance finds. This would have to be one of, if not the best digs we've found so far. The layout and cleanliness of this place was exceptional.
For a measly $2 for adults (kids are free) you get a personal tour of the museum. There is a little bit of everything here from kitchen utensils to tools to gramophones.
Most of the gramophones on display are in working order.
The kids were amazed at the wax cylinder records.
Something for everyone.
We wandered around having a good look over the displays for well over an hour. It was sad to hear that they are lucky to get a couple of people through the museum each week. If you ever head Wave Rock for a look make sure you stay at Tressie's Van Park and Museum - you won't be disappointed.
More to come.....
